Taylor Swift admitted that there’s one “weird” high school-era habit she still does with her longtime BFF Abigail Anderson.

The “Patient Zero” singer joked that her husband Travis Kelce and Anderson’s husband “have to put up with” the quirk.

Anderson, who inspired Swift’s 2008 track “Fifteen,” was spotted attending her best friend’s wedding on July 3.

Taylor Swift is coming clean about a “weird” habit that’s followed her from high school into married life with Travis Kelce. In an interview on November 1, the “Patient Zero” singer got candid about her decades-long friendship with longtime BFF Abigail Anderson, as well as the unusual quirk their husbands “have to put up with.”

During a Q&A with Toy Story 5 filmmaker Andrew Stanton, Swift opened up about an unusual routine she and Anderson first bonded over while attending high school in Nashville. The “I Knew It, I Knew You” singer explained that the film’s storyline about Bonnie and Blaze’s friendship resonated with her “so much,” as she admitted that “all [me and Anderson] wanted to do was talk in Napoleon Dynamite voices.”

“And we still do this—and it’s something our husbands have to put up with,” Swift added, then showing off her best impression of Napoleon Dynamite’s voice. She added, “And so it’s like, you know, when you find that person who just completely sees you for the strange, little genre that is you at your purest, that hit me so hard watching the film.”

Swift also opened up about her journey “finding someone who’s the same genre as weird and silly as you are,” as she recounted, “When I moved to Nashville when I was 14, you know, you’re the new kid in school and you’re like, ‘Who should I be friends with? These girls are cool, these girls are cool, these are nice girls.'” Anderson, who had “curly hair, too, like Blaze,” stood out from the pack.

While Swift has amassed a star-studded squad over the years, she famously paid tribute to Anderson in her 2008 coming-of-age track “Fifteen,” which took a look back at the joys and heartbreaks of high school.

Anderson has stayed close to Swift through her professional successes, including appearing in the “Fifteen” music video, joining Swift at the 2015 Grammy Awards, and making a cameo in the 2020 documentary Miss Americana. Anderson and her husband Charles “Charlie” Berard, whom she married in 2022, also celebrated with the A-list attendees at Swift and Kelce’s Madison Square Garden wedding on July 3.
