Simone Biles is one of the most accomplished athletes the United States of America has ever produced, but even that is enough to keep her away from internet trolls.
The 23-time world champion has become a household name thanks to her stunning career in gymnastics, having also taken home seven gold medals at the Olympics
However that isn’t enough for some people online, and Biles shed light on some of the messages she has to deal with due to her popularity.
“hope y’all are having a better day than me.. these are the texts I receive from random a** numbers.. btw y’all are f***** weird for this,” wrote Biles.
The troll decided to play down Biles’ pain and trauma by questioning her maturity, her marriage and bringing up the Larry Nassar case, which she courageously provided testimony for in front of the US Senate in 2021.
Biles keeps strong
Despite all that, Biles has once again shown that she is mentally strong and that internet trolls can’t stop her.
She showed her mental fortitude at the Paris Olympics, taking on the role of leader for the US women’s artistic gymnastics squad and guiding them to gold in the team final.
Biles then added two individual golds to her collection, showing everyone why she is the GOAT.
“So whenever I do win or get whatever medal that is, I feel a relief off my shoulders-like I did it, I’m done, let’s move on to the next,” she said.
