Breaking News: Serena Williams hospitalized with pregnancy…
Tennis superstar, Serena Williams has gone into labor at a clinic in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Local CBS affiliate reported Friday evening that Williams, was admitted Wednesday at St Mary’s Medical Center.
The station said the entire floor of the hospital has been shut down to provide security for Serena.
Serena, 36, and her fiance, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, are keeping the sex of the baby a surprise until birth.
She plans to return to competitive tennis in January, to defend her Australian Open title, which she won while newly pregnant.
Serena has won 23 Grand Slam singles.
