According to President Jose de Jesus Rodrigues of the National Chamber of Commerce, Services, and Tourism of Mexico City (CANACO), Shakira’s seven concerts in Mexico City are set to generate economic benefits of more than $160 million (3.247 billion pesos). USA Superstar Taylor Swift’s four concerts (Eras Tour) in Mexico City in 2023 had accumulated $50 million.
When numbers speak, numbers speak. And nobody can change that, can anybody? $160 million is just for the ticket sales. Estimated ticket sales are 455,000. Talk about hotels and accommodations – it pans out to be $43.9 million. Talk about restaurants and drink vendors – they will earn nearly $27 million!
