Reports suggest Taylor Swift’s mental health is trending downwards as the 35-year-old continues to isolate herself from the world with the Kansas City Chiefs’ Travis Kelce, in a bid to escape the noise of superstardom and recent scandals.
After wrapping up her record-breaking 21-month Eras Tour last December, the billionaire had been eagerly anticipating some well-earned downtime with her boyfriend and the couple recently took a romantic getaway abroad, escaping the public eye for a brief period of respite.
Now back in the United States, Swift had hoped to settle into a quieter routine within one of her many luxurious residences found in New York, Rhode Island, Los Angeles or even Nashville in Tennessee.
However, peace has proven elusive as she finds herself entangled in multiple personal challenges, forcing her into a period of self-imposed isolation as she depends on Kelce for emotional support.
One of the biggest sources of stress for Swift is her unexpected involvement in the heated custody battle between her close friend, Blake Lively, and filmmaker Justin Baldoni after legal filings have mentioned the Cruel Summer singer may have been name dropped as leverage.
Reports indicate that she has been deeply affected by the situation, feeling “used” by Lively amid the legal drama and ultimately making her feel as though she has been unwillingly dragged into the turmoil.
And it comes after Lively accused had accused the It Ends With Us director of sexual harassment, something said to have sparked a need in Swift create some distance from the storm.
That distance grew even greater after Baldoni countersued, alleging defamation. While Swift has not publicly commented on the situation, her retreat from public engagements speaks volumes about her current emotional state.
