The internet never forgets, and neither do Taylor Swift’s devoted fans. Nearly a decade after the infamous feud between Swift, Kanye West, and Kim Kardashian began, the drama continues to resurface.
This time, it’s thanks to Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy, who recently took to Instagram with a simple yet powerful message.

Portnoy’s post came on the anniversary of a major turning point in this ongoing saga-the day in 2020 when Swift’s publicist, Tree Paine, publicly corrected the record regarding the notorious 2016 phone call between Swift and West.
For years, Kardashian’s edited recording of the conversation made it seem like Swift had approved West’s controversial lyrics in Famous. But when the full call leaked in 2020, it proved otherwise, igniting a wave of vindication for Swift and her fans.
The truth behind the 2016 phone call
Back in 2016, Kim Kardashian released a selectively edited clip of a private phone call between Kanye West and Taylor Swift, suggesting that Swift had given her approval for him to call her “that bitch” in his song Famous. The edited footage painted Swift as dishonest, leading to significant backlash against her. However, in 2020, the uncut version of the call surfaced, revealing the truth-Swift had never approved of the lyric.
