King Charles and Prince Harry have not spoken to each other in months and the monarch even rejects his son’s calls

Prince Harry and King Charles have reportedly not communicated for months, with the monarch allegedly refusing to take his son’s calls, according to royal experts.

This rift continues despite Harry’s recent return to the UK, where he aimed to secure his taxpayer-funded security during an ongoing High Court battle with the Home Office.

Harry, 40, has been embroiled in a legal fight to reinstate his bodyguards after stepping back from royal duties. Speaking on The Sun’s Royal Exclusive show, royal correspondent Sarah Hewson shared that King Charles cannot afford to intervene in the case, even with any seemingly harmless comment that could later be used against him in court.

“The King can’t have conversations with him,” further noting that the estrangement between the father and son appears to be growing deeper.

A Father-Son divide
Royal editor Matt Wilkinson confirmed the prolonged silence.

“They’ve not spoken for months and months.”

Sources close to Harry suggest that the last time the two spoke was in February of the previous year, when they briefly met for 30 minutes following King Charles’s cancer diagnosis. Since then, the Duke of Sussex has reportedly been out of the loop, learning about his father’s recent hospital visit only through the media.

Harry, it’s been claimed, remains in the dark about King Charles’s health prognosis, intensifying the growing gap between them.

Cameron Walker, a GB News royal correspondent, offered insight into why communication has broken down, suggesting that King Charles is distancing himself from Harry due to his role as head of state.

“The King sees it as his duty not to get involved in the judicial system,” referring to the ongoing legal battle Harry is pursuing regarding his security.

There is also concern that private family conversations could be leaked to the press, which has made the royal family cautious about engaging with Harry.

The rift between the brothers, Prince William and Harry, is also continuing. Since the release of Harry’s memoir Spare in January 2023, the brothers have not been in direct communication.

Their last public interaction was at the funeral of their grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, in September 2022, but reports suggest that their exchange was minimal. Furthermore, Harry and William were reportedly at odds during a memorial service for their uncle in August 2023, where they didn’t speak at all.
