Livvy Dunne Reacts to Simone Biles Winning Gold Medal at Paris Olympics

Olivia “Livvy” Dunne continues to be a standout supporter of U.S. women’s gymnastics at the Paris Olympics.

The star LSU gymnast and social media sensation was present at Bercy Arena on Tuesday to cheer on Simone Biles and Team USA, who claimed the gold medal in the team final.
Dunne shared her excitement on her Instagram Stories, capturing videos of Biles — now the most decorated U.S. gymnast in Olympic history with eight medals — performing her captivating floor routine that earned a score of 14.666.

Dunne captioned the video with flying money stacks emojis, celebrating Biles’ impressive performance.

Team USA, also featuring Jordan Chiles, Sunisa “Suni” Lee, Jade Carey, and Hezly Rivera, won gold with a total score of 171.296, more than five points ahead of second-place Italy (165.494) and third-place Brazil (164.497).

Biles, 27, and Lee, 21, are set to compete in Thursday’s individual all-around final, continuing their quest for more Olympic glory.

Dunne, a national champion gymnast at LSU, has been an enthusiastic supporter of Team USA since arriving in Paris for this year’s Games. Earlier in the week, she showed her support for Lee during the qualifiers.

As Dunne enjoys her summer in the City of Lights, she is also preparing to return to Baton Rouge for her fifth and final year of eligibility with LSU gymnastics. The 21-year-old Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model confirmed earlier this month that she is “not Dunne yet” with the Lady Tigers.

“These past four years have changed my life. There is something about putting on a purple and gold leotard,” Dunne said in an Instagram video. “And no matter how many opportunities come my way off the mat, there’s just something about LSU. And that’s why I’m here to say, I’m not done yet. Here’s to year 5, baby.”

Despite her dedication to gymnastics and her presence at the Olympics, Dunne has no plans to pursue an Olympic career. “I don’t think I’m going to try for the Olympics or anything after, since I once competed for Team USA and I closed that chapter and went to LSU,” she told The Post exclusively in June.

Dunne and the Lady Tigers celebrated the program’s first NCAA Championship in April, marking a significant milestone in her gymnastics career.

The 2024 Olympics run through August 11, and as the Games continue, Dunne remains a passionate supporter of her teammates and the sport she loves.
