Patrick Mahomes’ high school basketball tape left fans in awe
Fans were stunned recently when a mixtape of Patrick Mahomes’ high school basketball playing days made the rounds. It’s no surprise that the best quarterback on the planet was a multi-sport athlete throughout his life, but even Mahomes himself has said that baseball was the only other sport that competed with football for him.
But Mahomes makes everything look easy. Casual fans and non-professional athletes were impressed, but would a two-time NBA MVP be as well? ESPN decided to get Stephen Curry to break down Mahomes’ basketball film in order to find out that answer.
Curry was told that it was Mahomes he was breaking down and couldn’t believe it.
“No it’s not, no it’s not… you would have no idea that’s Pat Mahomes right there”.
Curry seemed quite impressed with Mahomes’ overall game, but he did concede that his shooting form needs to be improved. He mentions that he “shoots with his whole body”. Mahomes will stick to the gridiron for now.
