CoCo Gauff is on a mission to “take greater ownership” of her tennis career, starting with launching her own management agency.

On Wednesday, April 2, Gauff, describing herself as an “athlete, entrepreneur, and changemaker,” announced the launch of Coco Gauff Enterprises. The initiative is supported by talent representation agency WME (William Morris Endeavor), which Gauff asserted has the “vision and resources to help me explore all of the opportunities ahead.”

“From the moment I first picked up a tennis racket, I’ve always believed my purpose extended far beyond the court,” Gauff’s post said. “Today, I’m thrilled to announce CoCo Gauff Enterprises, a venture that reflects my passion for making an impact—not just in tennis, but in business, philanthropy, and beyond.

The venture marks the end of Gauff’s partnership with Team8, the boutique agency co-founded by former Swiss professional tennis player Roger Federer and his longtime agent Tony Godsick in 2013. Team8 has represented Gauff since she turned professional in 2018 at 14.In her post, Gauff expressed her gratitude to the agency and reflected on her “deep appreciation and fond memories” from her time with them.

“This is just the beginning of an exciting new era for me, and there is much more to come, which I’ll be excited to share in due time,” Gauff wrote. “As always, tennis will continue to be my main priority!”

Gauff has made a name for herself both on and off the tennis court, most notably when she famously defeated Venus Williams in the first round of the 2019 Wimbledon Championships, making her debut at 15.

In 2024, Gauff earned $30.4 million, marking her second consecutive year as the highest-paid female athlete, AFROTECH™ previously reported. She also became only the third woman in sports history to reach the financial milestone in a single year, joining Naomi Osaka and Serena Williams.
