50 Cent Said the ‘Damage Is Already Done’ in the Lawsuit Against Jay-Z
After Jay-Z was named in a lawsuit filed this month, 50 Cent shared his thoughts on the matter. 50 Cent has been vocal about Sean “Diddy” Combs, also named in the lawsuit. He spoke about how he thinks Jay-Z will move forward.
50 Cent shared his thoughts on the lawsuit against Jay-Z
This week, Jay-Z was named in a lawsuit made by an anonymous woman. The plaintiff alleges that Jay-Z and Combs raped her at a party when she was 13 years old.
“My wife and I will have to sit our children down, one of whom is at the age where her friends will surely see the press and ask questions about the nature of these claims, and explain the cruelty and greed of people,” Jay-Z said in a statement, per Us Weekly.
In a conversation with Big Boy, 50 Cent said he hopes his children are okay.
“I just hope things are alright for him internally, at the crib,” he said. “In the statement, they mentioned his daughter [Blue Ivy] being old enough [to understand]. She’s about 13. So it’s the same age as his kids what [they are] saying he did.”
50-Cent believes that the allegations against Jay-Z will damage his career regardless of how the lawsuit goes.
“It isn’t what you did. It’s what they said you did,” he said. “The damage is already done by the allegation itself.”
50 Cent thinks the lawsuit against Jay-Z could impact the Super Bowl halftime show
50 Cent also predicted that the allegations could have an impact on the Super Bowl halftime show. Jay-Z’s company, Roc Nation, produces the show.
“I’m asking for Kendrick [Lamar],” he said. “I’m just trying to figure if we’re still doing everything.”
He believes that the NFL will not want to work with Jay-Z due to the lawsuit.
“They will fall back …” he said. “The NFL, they won’t necessarily be associated to that.”
He has frequently spoken about Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs
50 Cent has disliked Combs for years. He said he never had any interest in his parties.
“I’ve been very vocal about not going to Puffy parties and doing s*** like that,” he told The Hollywood Reporter. “I’ve been staying out of that s*** for years. It’s just an uncomfortable energy connected to it.”
He said he thinks other celebrities avoided speaking out against Combs because they might worry about their own involvement.
“Some of them were involved, at the parties and enjoyed themselves, so they don’t know what the f*** is on tape or what’s not on tape, so they’re not going to say anything because they might have had too much fun,” he said. “And then you’ve got other people who look and go, ‘Well, that’s not my business and I don’t want to be in it.’”
He understood that not everyone is as comfortable speaking out against Combs as he is.
“Then you’ve got a part of our culture that says, ‘That’s snitching’ or ‘dry snitching’ or s*** like that,” she said. “It’s not uncomfortable for me to say what I said because I’ve been saying this s*** for four years, five years. I been telling you, ‘I don’t f*** with him. I don’t like the way he moving. This is a little crazy.’ Everybody else is not going to be as comfortable as I am saying it.”
